The Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks has made significant changes to the way businesses in Ontario get and maintain their required air and noise approvals. This includes expanded exemption regulations, a new streamlined approvals pathway through development of the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry or EASR, and faster turnaround times for facilities still requiring Environmental Compliance Approvals or ECAs.
In addition, the last phase of the implementation of Ontario Regulation 419 is set to come into effect February 1st, 2020 for all approval holders. By February 1st all businesses in Ontario that require ministry approval must be able to demonstrate compliance with new, sometimes stricter, point of impingement limits using more sophisticated dispersion modeling such as AERMOD and ASHRAE.
At Pinchin, we understand how these changes will impact your facility and can provide you the assistance needed to navigate the path to compliance.
