COVID-19 has presented significant challenges to building owners and managers. The indoor environment requires significant re-calibration for safe re-occupancy of spaces. Public health professionals have provided an 18-24 month timeline for the pandemic. We will all need to remain vigilant through this period.
Strategies for implementing risk mitigation are becoming well established (physical distancing, space planning, HVAC optimization, etc.). These controls on their own, may not be enough to reassure occupants that they are safe inside a building. On-going validation that these controls are actively working is critical to establishing tenant confidence.
On September 23rd, Pinchin Ltd., in partnership with eleven-x, a world leader in building sensor technology, presented a one hour webinar on how emerging smart building technology can be implemented to support COVID re-occupancy strategies.
