Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) announced that the points available for the Energy Credits under MLI select will be reduced effective June 19th. Any application submitted after that date will be subject to the new credit system.

Accessibility and affordability points remain as they were. CMHCs focus would appear to be moving to affordability. Achieving 100 points on energy reduction alone which was previously possible will no longer be so. That being said a new building in British Columbia built to Step Code 3 should be able to meet the level 3 energy efficiency and garner 50 points.
