FortisBC and CleanBC offer significant and generous incentive funding for energy studies and capital upgrades to heating and cooling systems for existing commercial, institutional, industrial, and multi-unit residential buildings.
These programs provide funding for the evaluation, design, and implementation of energy conservation measures which reduce natural gas consumption and associated GHG emissions.
Buildings with the potential to save 1,000 or more GJ per year of natural gas can be eligible for funding. Energy conservation measures can include:
- boiler replacements,
- chiller plant upgrades,
- insulation and window upgrades,
- gas rooftop unit replacements with heat pumps,
- heat recovery chillers,
- building electrification,
- heat recovery ventilators,
- controls optimization,
- and more.
On Thursday, June 15th, our panel of experts hosted a 1-hr webinar where we discussed the energy studies available to you, the program benefits, requirements, funding availability, and how you can apply.
