Meet Pinchin Ltd's Senior Project Manager, Lindsay Shepherd

Meet Lindsay Shepherd, Senior Project Manager at Pinchin Ltd.

Lindsay Shepherd is a Senior Project Manager with the Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation (EDR) Group at Pinchin Ltd. Lindsay has been an integral part of Pinchin’s service growth in the Waterloo region since her arrival to the team in 2016. At that time, there were only 8 staff members in the Waterloo office and, in less than 2 years, there are now 19 full-time professionals on the team.

Lindsay grew up in St. Marys, just outside of Stratford. Lindsay obtained her Environmental-Civil Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo in 2005 and has called Waterloo home since that time.  She enjoys working where she lives and being able to see her professional successes come to life in her community.

At Pinchin, Lindsay works closely with developers, planners, lenders, lawyers and realtors to support innovative and forward-thinking development projects in and around Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph. She prides herself on the quality of the long-term relationships she has built with her clients.

“I get great satisfaction working on multi-disciplinary development projects where we can work with the client from start to finish. I especially enjoy the more complex and challenging revitalization projects that allow an unused industrial property that has existed for decades to be transformed into a new modern commercial or residential space to be enjoyed by the local community.  I am very excited to be involved with the redevelopment of the Former Maple Leaf Site in this capacity.”

As a Qualified Person (QPESA), Lindsay is able to be the consultant of record on Record of Site Condition (RSC) filings. These RSC documents are a requirement for developers seeking approval to change land use as part of redevelopment in Ontario. Lindsay has successfully filed numerous RSCs with the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to support redevelopment projects.

Just as southwestern Ontario continues to grow and develop, so too does Pinchin’s Waterloo office. The office had historically focused on occupational hygiene services, but with the growth of the EDR group and other service areas, Lindsay and the rest of the Pinchin team are able to offer multi-disciplinary and turnkey solutions for brownfield redevelopment, with a focus on practical strategies to manage and remediate contamination.

The Waterloo office is one of Pinchin’s oldest and most well established regional offices. Opened in 1994, the Waterloo office now offers solutions from all of Pinchin’s service lines, including Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation, Geotechnical Services, Occupational Health & Safety, and Hazardous Materials.
