Tony Martinelli is Pinchin’s Regional Client Manager and Regional Practice Leader for our Building Science and Sustainability (BSS) Group in British Columbia. He has come very far in a short span of time, having spent several years as the Operations Manager for the BSS Group in BC and as National Practice Leader for the service. Multi-disciplined and inventive, Tony is reputed for providing consistent, high quality services to clients in his region and beyond.
Tony is well versed in maintaining a smooth operational flow specific to our sector. He has served as Operations Manager not only at Pinchin, but also at IRC Building Sciences Group Inc. and BEE Consulting Ltd. Tony focused his studies on construction contract administration and is a Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA). He has been providing his expertise in this area for over twenty-five years and continues to drive growth in his region because of it.
Tony is always in pursuit of personal growth not only for himself but also for his team at the Richmond office. He has successfully completed the Bullet Proof Manager Program with Crestcom International and is a member of the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) and the British Columbia Building Envelope Council (BCBEC). A proud member of CSC for over 10 years, Tony also serves on the Board of the Vancouver Chapter and is an instructor of the Construction Contract Administrator course. He has also led numerous presentations and educational seminars on Property Condition Assessments to key clients such as BMO, TD, various regional real estate associations and the Business Development Bank of Canada.
Tony’s drive for excellence has made him very strong in the areas of operations, practice and business development at Pinchin. His team describes him as someone who can do it all, from technical support to project management through to regional client care. He has directly contributed to the growth of BSS in the region and has helped to introduce other services including Mechanical Engineering (MEC) and Construction Project Management (CPM) to Pinchin.
Tony manages the staff and day-to-day operations of his office. He also leads financial and administrative activities for BSS, overseeing the Group’s engineers, managers and project coordinators. He provides key technical and senior management support for BSS projects and serves as a senior reviewer for the discipline in Western Canada. Tony prides himself on maintaining and strengthening existing client relationships while also fostering new and ongoing ones. As such, he supports Key Accounts like Canada Post and CBC and is usually the first to participate in new business development initiatives.
